Unite!

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Blog Action Day is on October 15th. On this day bloggers from all around the world will post articles on a single topic which will be the Environment. The point is to get people thinking and discussing about one topic on one day that effects all of us. Be sure to read your favorite blogs that are involved and if you have a blog yourself, please commit to joining this revolutionary movement that is being done for the first time ever.

I will be participating in Blog Action Day here on the Warren Greeley Blog so feel free to stop by on the 15th and check out my environmentally themed post. I have already started working on it. To make sure you don’t miss a beat, take a second to subscribe to my feeds.

My Imperfection List

Monday, October 1st, 2007

I have been trying to ween out the bad habits and things I don’t like about myself and replace them over time with good things. This is easier said than done of course but I have devised a new solution to mending my imperfections (physical and mental).

My new idea (sure someone has thought of it before) is to make a list of every imperfection I see in myself. This may sound pretty dramatic and kind of a saddening experience but it is quite the contrary. Having a list of this nature will now allow me to really keep in mind the things that I want to improve so I may actually have a shot of bettering myself.

This is a short list (to spare you) of my imperfections I have written down:

» Over weight
» Procrastinator
» Don’t Exercise enough
» Talk to much (don’t listen enough)
» No focus
» Bad eating habits
» Too much beverage consumption
» Don’t take action enough
» Spending little time with family
» Rarely clean up
» Cluttered time (too much going on)
Continued…

As I said, I’ll spare you the rest of the list but I assure you this is very small part of it (and it is still growing). These things are not meant to be mean, nor bring my spirits down but instead get my flaws out on the table so I can become a better person by fixing them!

Give it a try for yourself. The first step to improvement is realizing what the problems are.

P.S. If you cannot think of anything to put on the list, you are lying to yourself.
