The World Isn’t All.. Shit

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

I try to stress the importance of changing the world for the better (if you haven’t noticed). So many just sit back and let the world be as it is regardless of the pain and suffering it causes others around them, people they have not met, or even themselves.

I am a huge movie fan and this is one of my favorite scenes from a movie because it perfectly portrays my point about people and how they can make a change. Everyone can make a change.

This is a scene from Pay it Forward. After watching (even if you have seen it already) really think about what the teacher, played by Kevin Spacey, is saying and how the students react. Enjoy.

During the summer I started a Blog called Blog for Squares. It was an imporant thing for me to do because it allowed me to target my writing on a singular topic; Unconventional Thinking. This was a great experience and something I am very glad I did.

But like all good things it must come to and end. In a few days I will be closing down Blog for Squares to devote my time more to important aspects of my life like the people I care about and my endless pursuit to innovate and change an irrational world. I am glad for all the readers that read the blog and I hope many of them will come on over to this blog for further insight (though the theme is slightly different).

So check out the last post ever on Blog for Squares entitled The Grand Finale.

A Social Experiment

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

I recently came up with this idea for a global social experiment I am going to try. I cannot give any more details than that because it would ruin the concept but what I can tell you is that it is anti-trendy in today’s internet driven sociality.

In time I will reveal more if I do go through with this.

Some More Environemental Rambling

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

I have told readers in the past about my small but important involvement into the environmental protection movement. On October 15th I will be participating with now over 5,000 blogs in Blog Action Day, a day when the world of bloggers will all speak out on the topic of the environment.

I only have a couple new things today. First is what we have done in my company, Clarity Multimedia. We have released a statement about our involvement in breaking the consumption addiction. You can see how we are helping the environment here.

Also, through the Blog Action Day website I stumbled upon this little video that I want to share today. Check it out.

Pessimists have been saying “the world is coming to an end” all through history. How many times have they been right so far?
