ThinkSpace: Great Flash Interaction

This is the best example of flash interaction on a website that I have seen in a while. It’s a featurette of people’s creative workspaces. Below are some screenshots but be sure to check out the website at thinkspace.economist.com. It’s nice to see some publications are starting to realize what the web can offer their tribe.

Creattica Profile

Creattica

I have been using Creattica for inspiration since it was called FaveUp back in the day and now am an active member on the site. So far they have accepted 2 of my business card designs. You can see my profile at the link below.

Besides seeing my awesome work, you can also look through hundreds of submissions to get a feel for the various types of visual language you can convey to potential clients and customers.

Of course I am glad to help when you need a designer to bring your branding message to life.

Video Tutorials for Mac Users

A friend of mine, Steve Price, just launched a really cool idea that I think will help anyone with a Mac called Mac App Training. While Macs are easy to use and intuitive by design, there is still a lot to learn. The video tutorials on Mac App Training can teach you anything from how to use OS X to iLife, iWork, and more.

Launched: VLP Interiors

Valerie Price Interiors

I recently launched a website for Valerie Price, a very talented Interior Designer from Wheaton. She is less than a year from her degree and is a very pretty young lady (who just happens to be my girlfriend). Check out vlpinteriors.com.

A Day in the Life (The Process)

[Update: For some reason the video has been removed. Do I smell conspiracy?]

Every creative professional can feel the pain of the guy in this video. Everyone corporate type should watch it to learn something. Everyone else should watch it to understand what we go through. The design industry is not all fun and games.

Keynote Anticipation and Bloopers to Pass the Time

I already have a Macbook and an iPhone and do not plan on upgrading my hardware any time soon. Still—like many Apple users—I am brimming with anticipation as the WWDC grows closer and closer. Steve Jobs is giving one of his world famous Keynote Speeches on June 9th to kick off the event where he will likely introduce the next generation of the Apple product line including an upgraded or whole new iPhone.

So what can we all do to pull ourselves away from constantly updating Google Reader to see the latest rumors?

At least we can take a few minutes to watch this video I found on 9to5 Mac. It contains a mix of Past Keynote Bloopers.
