Monday, April 28th, 2008So today I will be putting up the new WarrenGreeley.com. There will most likely be some errors and bumps along the road so bare with me while browsing the site. All should be well by the end of the day.

So today I will be putting up the new WarrenGreeley.com. There will most likely be some errors and bumps along the road so bare with me while browsing the site. All should be well by the end of the day.
Next week I will be relaunching my three main sites.
1. claritymm.com - It will look mostly the same since most of the changes and improvements are in the text or the back end but there are some major changes in the services and portfolio section.
2. zenproblog.com - After several postponements, the new theme for Zen Problog will be launched. It still maintains is minimalist integrity but will be much more user friendly.
3. warrengreeley.com! - Finally I have chosen a design I think is worthy of launching as the new look for my personal website. It will be much different than the current one. The new site will also feature a new logo I created for myself inspired by middle-age family crests.
There are no exact dates of when I will be launching but it will likely be early next week. I’ll be announcing them as they come. Stay tuned.
I am putting together a new theme for warrengreeley.com and it’s blog. It should be up soon and will be a pleasant change for the site. This will be version 3.0.
If you check out this blog enough, you might get a sneak peek at the new template.
In related new, this blog is reaching a year of age this month, making it my oldest blog to date. Ah, they grow up fast.
Though I have been working on my company with my business partner for over 2 years now, I have held the safety net of a part time job to ensure I could pay for my college.
Two weeks ago today I resigned with two weeks notice at my part time job. It was a great, liberating, and very scary feeling.
Today, I am happy to announce I am fully self employed. I am ready to take on the big bad world of self reliance.
To be honest—though I am very happy, it is scary. I still have the bills to pay (especially credit cards) and it will be a long time until I am financially stable, but we are making enough to maintain my lifestyle now that we have grown our business and I have simplified my needs.
I want to thank my girlfriend for supporting me with this decision, all my former co-workers (and now great friends), Ron Johnson for getting me started, Jestine Chakkumcal (my business partner) for putting up with me, my clients and readers, and all those who’s writing have really guided me through this dangerous road including Guy Kawasaki and Leo Babauta from Zen Habits.
So where do I go from here?
I plan to continue to grow my media design company, Clarity Multimedia. I plan to continue writing on blogs and in print and now with more time, I am hoping to have my new novel done by the end of this year. Though my goals are lofty, I think I can make it happen now.
P.S. I have more time for work now so if you need web design, blog theme design, blog articles, logo design, print media or anything else listed on this page, then hit me up.

Today I finally put up my new business blog. It has been something I have wanted to do for a while now but finally got the time and patience to put it together. It’s called Zen Problog and is meant for modern professionals to better their business lifestyle by simplicity and minimalism; two concepts that go together and I have found to be very effective.
Check it out how to be a better professional here.
Yesterday I purchased my brand new White MacBook Computer. Though my old computer will be missed this new one will help me increase my productivity for my clients and business and allow me to really move forward with my goals.
I am beginning to focus more on marketing now and am going to attempt to build my company’s revenues by at least 20% a month every month. It is a lofty goal in my industry but that is something I strive for. Now with new motivation and a brand new computer system with double the specs and added productivity tools, I am ready to take on the big grand world!
Also, this means I will be able to post articles more often including new baby pictures of little Even Greeley. Stay tuned for that and more.

Today is a day I have been waiting for since August when I found out about the revolutionary concept of Blog Action Day - a day when blogs from all around the world discuss a singular topic. Blog Action Day is here! And the topic is the Environment.
Why does the world need changing?
For centuries now, in our ignorance, we have been using up the world resources that can never be brought back once they are gone. In doing so, our consumption has lead to pollution and destruction of earth’s fragile structure.
Now that all this has occured we are faced with a big question mark where tomorrow used to be. For years now we have ignored the vital signs and brushed it off with the excuse of being to busy or not stopping progression.
I say We in all of this because We are the problem. Not the Bush administration alone, not big corporations, not the wealthy elite. It is us. All of us. And it will now take all of us to fix the problem.
What is being done?
We are at a time now like no other in history. Today there are a growing number of people fighting, not for money or power but instead for a better world to live in.
There are now activist groups and scientists working together to get active about climate crisis. Our former vice president, Al Gore, and his governmental council have just won a Nobel Prize for their efforts to inform the world about this major problem that effects us all.
The people are speaking out and companies are listening, making products and services that are more eco friendly. Governments and nations from around the world are doing their part to become more earth conscious in efforts to preserve their futures and all of our futures.
What needs to be done?
The United States Government, along with several others have neglected this problem and still do. They need to take initiative, regardless of any personal reasons they may have not to find alternative fuel sources and build a better society to coincide with the earth we all inhabit.
People need to get smart fast. Schools, Workplaces, Media should all press onward in educating the populous in doing what needs to be done. They will not do it unless there is a great push by the people who already know enough to understand our crisis.
People don’t like change so it is difficult to get the world to make a difference for the next generations of man kind. It must be stressed that this is not a matter of inconvenience but instead a matter of life or death for our grandchildren, children, and even ourselves.
[Moment for a deep breath]
We can all do something to change. Use recycled products, walk or bike instead of driving short distance, turn the lights off when we leave a room, don’t buy from companies known to pollute, vote canidates into office who want to make a change, etc. If each person just pushed themselves the smallest bit into common sense changes to make the world better, it would be better for all of us.
